The Oetztal Glacier is a top destination for all skiing enthusiasts and offers eight months of guaranteed snow. Where else can you practise your turns in the deep snow from October to May?
The valley station of the Tiefenbach Glacier is located just 17 km from Soelden. The Tiefenbach Glacier in the Oetztal Valley can be accessed via the highest tunnel in the Eastern Alps, the Rosi-Mittermeier tunnel.
Skiing in a world of endless ice
Linked to the road via the Rosi-Mittermeier tunnel and to the ski resort via a ski tunnel: the two glaciers are the perfect complement for one another, despite their extreme differences. While the Ski World Cup ski descent presents a real challenge for the international winter sporting elite on the Rettenbach Glacier, the Tiefenbach Glacier impresses with its broad and gentle pistes. 37 km of pistes await you in total.
Comfort-zone glacier
It is important to take regular breaks at the start of the season in autumn and get your body gradually used to this form of sport. Recharge your batteries at the self-service restaurant on the Tiefenbach Glacier with Tyrolean treats or perhaps a coffee and cake in the afternoon.
The right equipment
If you have forgotten something, the Sport Riml shop is your first port of call on the glacier. You will find everything you need here, from ski goggles to sun cream and sports equipment.
Ski school Soelden Hochsoelden
If you want to improve your skiing skills, you can take lessons with our experienced skiing instructors at the ski school Soelden Hochsoelden. Beginners and advanced skiers, group or private lessons, everyone will find the right course for all ages for their skiing hoilday in the Tyrol. Benefit from our packages:
